Shadows of Memory-Chapter One
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
It has been a few days since Alice escaped from being a prisoner of war. She doesn't remember anything before getting captured, so only option she has left is to find the truth. Don't look back, his eyes are always watching.
Content Warnings: Blood, Psychological Horror, Anxiety Attacks, Religious Themes, Depictions of Grief, Physical Violence.
The files that are available to download support a 64-bit archive, and requires 7-Zip to be downloaded as well. After testing the game on the web browser, I found that it performed slower and that downloading it is the best way to play.
This is the first chapter of a series. I plan on having three chapters in all, the others will be longer and they will be released on Steam. The art is all hand drawn by me and edited using Photoshop. Most of the music was done by an artist named Nilhilore.

oh my god, no, you can’t do this to me!! you can’t end it like that!! I was hoping to see them to meet again!! 😭😭
the story, the narrative is so precious. I love it so much!! I can definitely see there’s a HUGE backstory and I already feel so sad for Alice!!! 😭😢 I can say tho, that this chapter is extremely short but I LOVE it! I really wanted to see more!!!! 🫢
there’s something eerie about the artsyle 👀… please, don’t take it as an offense! I actually LOVE IT! Sure, you can improve it with time but… idk, the artstyle as it is now gives the story some kind of mysterious and anxious vibe, which is the state of the protagonist.
one thing it did bother me was definitely the gameplay. it doesn’t have the basic features that visual novels usually have (save, load, return, preferences) so I was bit confused. It definitely took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to advance the story!
I DO appreciate the fact that you can go back to the last choice menu (so you can see other endings) but I still think it’s kinda not user-friendly. You could try RenPy, which is a FREE software that comes with an user-friendly game user interface by default. You don’t have to switch the game to it if you don’t want to tho! It’s just a suggestion ^^
again, i really loved this story!! and I hope to see more!! ^^
Btw, I forgot to add that it’s impressive that you got to draw every single scene!! since there are no sprites, every scene is a new drawing and that’s pretty amazing!! 🤗
Thank you so much! I'm working on the second chapter now, and its much longer. There is no save, preferences and other stuff since its a short demo. I'm happy you enjoyed it!
